Pacifica is emerging from the fertile soil of Zurich's electronic music scene. Coming out of the city that is home to not only electro pioneers Yello but also a growing number of internationally acclaimed contemporary producers, Pacifica embraces broad influences ranging from Balearic to Deep House and Techno with a specific instrumental twist.
Pacifica is Domenico Ferrari and Bálint Dobozi – both composer, producers and performers. Their music combines house and techno driven rhythms with a subtle blend of synth, keyboard and vocal textures to reach the fragile balance of creating beautiful, dreamy spaces and delivering rock-solid rhythms to dance to.
Working on a full-blown live & studio setup with analog synths and effects, there is always a live recording at the core of their releases, and their live set is sequenced and processed and played in the moment. For smaller clubs, they are offering a hybrid Live/DJ set on more compact equipment.
Their debut EP “Blaze” (DPC 056) was supported by Dixon, Âme, Gilles Peterson, Carl Craig, Adriatique, Groove Magazin, Faze Magazin, as well as heard on BBC Radio 1 (The Magician/Pete Tong), FM4 (Austria) and others.
Their second original release “Memory Man” (DPC 061) including remixes by Frankey & Sandrino (Innervisions, “Acamar”) and Kalabrese (Rumpelmusig, Perlon) came out in April 2016. It is supported by Âme, Dixon, Mano Le Tough, John Talabot, Animal Trainer, Peter Kruder, and Richard Dorfmeister.
Their third release “White Nights” (BM 044) came out in Fall 2016 and features two new tracks, the title track "White Nights" and "Nautilus".
